Six Foreign Affairs Ministers of EU-member States Met Their Ukrainian Counterpart in Brussels

Brussels, May 10 - Current developments in Ukraine and the state of relations between Kiev, Brussels and Moscow were the topics of a discussion between six foreign affairs ministers from EU-member states and their Ukrainian counterpart Konstyantyn Gryshchenko in Brussels on Monday.
Slovakia was represented at the meeting of an informal friends of Ukraine group by Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak.
The head of Ukrainian diplomacy emphasised the pro-European direction of the current Ukrainian administration and also explained its stances on relations with the EU and with Russia.
Lajcak pointed out that Ukraine must be a predictable and reliable partner for the EU. Other ministers from EU-member states confirmed that Ukraine must meet the obligations on which its co-operation with the EU is based. They also expressed their readiness to support the country in its efforts to conform to European standards.
