Slovakia, Bratislava - The Police Presidium of Slovak Republic informed that Slovak Anti-drug Office has arrested a 46-year-old Nigerian suspected of importing cocaine into Slovakia.

The Nigerian smuggler was caught at Bratislava Airport on December 31 after arriving on a flight from Girona. Police officers discovered that the man was hiding cocaine capsules containing a total of 300 grams inside his body. The Nigerian is now facing accusations of drug crimes, for which he could be sentenced to up to 20 years in jail.

The seized cocaine, which was probably heading for the Austrian black market, would have provided 7,000 doses with a total value of €115,000.

The suspect is now in custody due to fears of an escape attempt, but his lawyer has already filed a complaint against this decision.
