Fuel prices at Slovak petrol stations continue to fall, with petrol expected to fall by 80 hellers per litre and diesel by 40 hellers per litre on Thursday, internet portal 'tankovanie.sk' informed on Wednesday.

Thus petrol prices should approach 33Sk/l (€1.10) and diesel prices should fall to 37.45Sk/l (€1.24).

This development on the international markets has been caused mainly by the reduced consumption due to the global recession, which has at the same time affected the three most developed regions in the world - the United States, European Union and Japan, and it's gathering momentum," explains the portal, warning that the current development in fuel prices could reverse itself quite rapidly.
