Receipts for Own Performances and Goods in Slovakia's Internal Trade Increased
Bratislava, August 5 - Receipts for own performances and goods (hereafter called "receipts") in sale and maintenance of motor vehicles amounted to SKK 20,6 billion in June, there was 3,5 % year-on-year increase at constant prices. The development was mostly influenced by 15 % rise in receipts for sale of motor vehicles. Receipts for sale of parts and accessories of motor vehicles also rose 2,8 % and receipts for retail sale of automotive fuels increased 2 %. Receipts for maintenance and repair of motor vehicles were down for the first time in this year (by 12,3 %).
From the beginning of year, receipts increased 5,4 % compared to the corresponding period last year.
Growing trend in receipts in wholesale continued in June. Compared to June 2007, they increased 19,2 % at current prices and amounted to SKK 81,8 billion as a result of higher receipts in all activities except other wholesale (2,9 % fall). The development was influenced at most by rise in receipts in wholesale with non-agricultural interproducts by 59,1 %, in wholesale with machinery by 38,2 %, in wholesale with food products, beverages and tobacco by 32,9 %.
Over the first six months, receipts in wholesale rose year-on-year 16,5 %.
Receipts in retail trade amounted to SKK 42 billion and were higher than in June 2007 by 3,1 % at constant prices. The rise was mainly affected by higher receipts in retail trade not in stores by 22,3 %, in retail trade with pharmaceutical and cosmetic goods by 18,1 % and in other specialized retail trade by 8,1 %. Receipts in other retail trade in non-specialized stores did not reach the last year?s level (by 7,8 %) and also for the first time in this year in retail trade with food products, beverages and tobacco (by 1,1 %).
From the beginning of year, receipts in retail trade rose year-on-year 9,6 %.
Receipts in hotels and restaurants amounted to SKK 3,8 billion and their year-on-year increase was 4,3 % at consant prices in June.
From the beginning of year, receipts rose 2,2 % compared to the corresponding period last year.
